Next, you’ll head to either Grand Case or Orient Beach, depending on the conditions of the day. Here, you’ll have ample time to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings at one of the island’s most popular beaches.
The tour continues with a visit to the Marigot Open Market, where you can explore local vendors selling everything from handmade souvenirs to fresh foods. It’s a great place to shop and experience the vibrant culture of the island. Following that, you’ll make a stop at the Border Monument, marking the division between the French and Dutch sides of the island.
One of the most exciting parts of the tour is a stop at Maho Beach, known worldwide for its close proximity to Princess Juliana Airport. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to watch planes land just a few feet above your head—a truly unforgettable experience.
Next, you’ll pass through Simpson Bay, where you’ll see luxury yachts and enjoy stunning views of the marina and mountains. The tour culminates with a visit to Harold Jack Hill, a lookout point offering panoramic views of Dutch St. Maarten. Finally, the tour will return to the starting point or Philipsburg for some additional shopping. For those traveling by cruise, timely return to the ship is guaranteed.

Tour itinerary is subject to weather and traffic conditions and may require changes. Cruise ship passengers, upon return to Philipsburg, transfer back to the ship will be provided free of charge, or you may choose to remain in Philipsburg to shop or sight-see at your own leisure. Walking back to the ship takes between 12 and 15 minutes, or a taxi may take you for approximately $3 pp.
