Paddle across the largest saltwater lagoon in the Antilles on a guided kayak expedition. Your tour begins at Kim Sha Beach in Simpson Bay. Upon arrival receive a kayaking lesson and safety orientation before setting off on your sit-on-top kayak. You will follow your guide at a leisurely pace across the largest saltwater lagoon in the Antilles and marvel at the magnificent mega yachts that make St. Maarten their winter base from November to April. During your paddle, your guide will point out sights of interest, including the imaginary water border between the Dutch and French sides of the island. A brief stop gives you a chance to rest your muscles as well as learn about the island’s vibrant history and the lagoon’s complex ecosystem before paddling back to Kim Sha for a refreshing dip in the ocean and a well-deserved complimentary beverage.

Your tour departs from Kim Sha Beach, which is approximately a 30 minute drive from the cruise ship terminal in Philipsburg. Guests need to arrange their own transport to Kim Sha Beach. Taxis can be hired in front of the two-story terminal building at the cruise pier. Ask the taxi driver to take you to the Kim Sha Beach in Simpson Bay, right next to the Buccaneer Beach Bar. Your tour ends at Kim Sha Beach.

This tour is not suitable for guests with heart, shoulder hip or back problems. Not suitable for pregnant guests. Guests who have concerns must consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them.
- Balance payabale via cash at check-in. Only if you are unable to withdraw cash from an ATM before the tour can we run your CC to the office via Whatsapp, but not on Sundays or public holidays. Paying the balance in cash is therefore preferred. Thanks for understanding.
