Sky Explorer and Sentry Hill Zip Line & Schooner Adventure
Ride three exciting experiences in one excursion. Consisting of two lifts the Sky Explorer brings you to the top of one of St. Maarten’s highest peaks while thescenery unfolds below you. The Schooner Ride sends you surfing down the mountain in an inner tube. Fly high on the Sentry Hill Zip Line over the mountain ridge enjoying the stunning views then enjoy the Sky Explorer back down.
Estate Each adventure begins in this restored plantation house originally built in the
1700s. The Museum tells the powerful story Trace Wilson who was born into slavery on the property in 1818 and her direct descendant Emilio Wilson. You will see depictions of what life was like on a plantation and learn about the customs, traditions, lifestyle and stories that earned Sint Maarten the nickname T͚ he Friendly Island. ͛
Embark on the Sky Explorer to mid-station for the Schooner Ride; where you’ll surf down the mountain in an inner tube through the curves and straightaways of a specially designed track.
You’ll hop back on Sky Explorer and glide up to the mountain ridge of Sentry Hill. After your orientation at the transfer station, you will put your safety equipment and harness system for your Sentry Hill Zip Line flight over the mountain ridge.
To complete your bottom to top experience you’ll glide on Sky Explorer to the top of Sentry Hill; one of St. Martens highest elevations at 1,125 feet. The entire chair-lift experience encompasses two chairlifts as well as a series of platforms encircle the mountaintop showcasing 360-degree views of the island including vistas of neighboring islands Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Bart’s and Anguilla.
When you are ready to descend simply board the Sky Explorer for the scenic trip down the mountain. After your fun-filled adventure, souvenirs and attraction photos are available for purchase in the gift shop. Emilio’s Restaurant, nestled among authentic antique colonial walls, offers a menu of classic favorites with a new twist. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Sky Explorer:
- Children must be able to sit on their own and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Children are not permitted to sit in parents’ laps, be in “packs” or anything that “straps” them to their parent or guardian.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Flying Dutchman:
- Height range: minimum 52 – 80 inches.
- Weight range: minimum 100 – 275 pounds.
- Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries are not recommended to fly.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Sentry Hill Zip Line:
- Height range: minimum 52 – maximum 80 inches.
- Weight range: minimum 80 – 275 pounds.
- Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries are not recommended to fly.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Schooner:
- Height range: minimum 42 – maximum 80 inches.
- Weight range: maximum 275 pounds.
- Children must be able to hold on at all times as it is one person per tube.
- Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries are not recommended to slide.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
