Sky Explorer and Schooner Ride
A top-to-bottom tour with two exciting experiences in one excursion. Take in the amazingviews as you glide to the top of one of St. Maarten’s highest mountains on the Sky Explorer. Then hop back on the Sky Explorer to the Schooner Ride where you’ll surf downthe mountain in an inner tube.
Each adventure begins in this restored plantation house originally built in the 1700s. The Museum tells the powerful story of Trace Wilson who was born into slavery on the property in 1818 and her direct descendant Emilio Wilson. You will see depictions of what life was like on a plantation and learn about the customs, traditions, lifestyle and stories thatearnedSintMaartenthenicknameT͚heFriendlyIsland.
Embark on the Sky Explorer for the approximately 25-minute ride to the top of Sentry Hill; one of St. Maartens highest elevations at 1,125 feet. The experience encompasses two chairlifts as well as a series of platforms encircle the mountaintop showcasing 360-degree views of the island including vistas of neighboring islands Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Bart’sand Anguilla.
To complete your top-to-bottom ride, the Sky Explorer will take you to the Schooner Ride where you’ll surf down the mountain in an inner tube through the curves andstraightaways of a specially designed track. After your fun-filled adventure, souvenirs, attraction and photos are available for purchase in the gift shop. Emilio’s Restaurant,nestled among authentic antique colonial walls, offers a menu of classic favorites with a new twist. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Sky Explorer:
- Children must be able to sit on their own and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Children are not permitted to sit in parents’ laps, be in “packs” or anything that “straps” them to their parent or guardian.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Flying Dutchman:
- Height range: minimum 52 – 80 inches.
- Weight range: minimum 100 – 275 pounds.
- Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries are not recommended to fly.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Sentry Hill Zip Line:
- Height range: minimum 52 – maximum 80 inches.
- Weight range: minimum 80 – 275 pounds.
- Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries are not recommended to fly.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
Schooner:
- Height range: minimum 42 – maximum 80 inches.
- Weight range: maximum 275 pounds.
- Children must be able to hold on at all times as it is one person per tube.
- Pregnant women, those with heart, back and neck injuries are not recommended to slide.
